Summer is over, but fun festivals and event continue year-round in the Tri-Cities.
From kicking off holiday seasons to getting through winter blues, here are five festivals and events you won’t want to miss:
1. Zombie Walk – Oct. 26
The Halloween festivities really kick off in Grand Haven with the annual zombie walk. Zombies from all around the Tri-Cities mark their calendars and do their best shuffle walk in downtown Grand Haven from 4-6 p.m. Not to be missed!
2. Downtown Trick or Treating – Oct. 31
Join goblins and ghouls of all ages as they trick-or-treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Halloween night in Grand Haven and Spring Lake downtowns.
3. Grand Haven Jingle Bell Parade – Dec. 7
Lights and holiday cheer fill the streets of downtown Grand Haven during the Jingle Bell Parade.
Join thousands of residents and visitors as they line the streets from Franklin Avenue at Second Street, Harbor Drive to Washington Avenue.
The Community Christmas Tree will come to life with lights in Grand Haven’s Central Park following the parade.
4. Wine About Winter – Jan. 17
“Wine” the winter away during the Wine about Winter event when businesses in Grand Haven’s Centertown and Downtown district invite the public to sample wine as artists talk about their work displayed at various venues.
5. Winter Fest – Jan. 23-26
Winter Fest has been a Grand Haven tradition for more than 30 years. So bundle up and take in the mayhem of cardboard sled races to dog pulls and the awesome Intergalactic Human Sled Race.
You won’t want to miss the warm Winterfest Luau followed by the frigid polar plunge the next day, or the stellar skiing at Mulligan’s Hollow.
