Tri-Cities Kiwanis Salmon Tournament, 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chinook Pier, 301 N. Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. Tournament combines support for pediatric care with fun day of fishing for sponsors and guests, as well as young patients currently undergoing treatment. www.tricitieskiwanis.org.
Kick-off to Summer Run, 8:30 a.m. Sponsored by the Tri-Cities Family YMCA, this event offers a 5K run/walk, 1-mile family fun run and a tot trot obstacle course. Cost is $30 to participate in the 5K run and $13 to participate in the 1-mile fun run; the obstacle course in free. An awards ceremony follows the race. http://tcfymca.org/
