Fall harvest time is here and with that comes many people’s favorite activity — Halloween, haunted houses and corn mazes.
For residents who want to get a good scare, there are plenty of options in the West Michigan area within driving distance. For those looking for a place to get spooked, here are some places you can go:
In Grand Haven, the annual Zombie Walk is another great opportunity for people to get out and have a good time being amongst, and playing, “the dead.”
There are also options outside of Ottawa County. In Holton, the Trail of Terror is one popular spot that many people can visit for a good scare. The trail features plenty of scares for people who are up for a fright, and features a terrifying walk through the woods.

Over in Rothbury, the Wicked Ranch will again open its doors to frighten visitors. The ranch’s attractions include Nightmare at the Bunkhouse, Town of Terror, and a mile-long hayride through the Wicked Woods.
Outside of the area, there are also some haunted options in the Grand Rapids area. One popular location is The Haunt.
The Haunt features several different attractions, including indoor and outdoor houses, mini mazes and a 3-D area.
Another popular option is Witch’s Walk in Grand Rapids. This location is a haunted corn maze that offers afternoon hours during select dates in order to ease the scariness for some visitors.
