COOPERSVILLE — For rail travel lovers, the Coopersville-Marne Railway has just the ticket for people looking for seasonal fun.

The railroad offers a themed ride aboard the historic railroad for its annual Pumpkin Train.

During the train ride, local actress Eva Swietec and her cast of wacky characters will sing and dance, treating passengers to stellar performances.

In addition to the entertainment, each child’s ticket includes a free, locally grown pumpkin that the kids pick from a pumpkin patch at the end of the train ride.

The Pumpkin Train departs on Saturdays, Oct. 19 and 26 at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct 20 and 27 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

For those winter enthusiasts, there is also a Santa Train. This train gives holiday rail enthusiasts a chance to ride the rails with Santa himself.
